What is the DTS about?
Beulah Training Centre runs a range of activities in the outdoors to help people develop their relationship with Christ. The Adventure Zambia DTS is a 5 month discipleship program designed to help you deepen your relationship with God, discover your purpose, and develop a strong foundation in your faith. It takes place every year from July to December.
The first 11 weeks is the Lecture-Phase of the DTS with teaching both inside and outside the classroom. Combined with regualar outdoor-experiences and outreach into the local community, it really helps students develop their faith and personal relationship with God. The following 8 weeks is the Outreach-Phase where you get to involve yourself in missions work, often moving outside the borders of Zambia. The emphasis is first on getting to “Know God” and then on “Making Him Known”.
This Outreach Phase really solidifies what you’ve learned during the Lecture Phase with real life experience and has a lasting impact on peoples lives. During the DTS you live together with students both from within Zambia and abroad. This gives you a unique cultural experience that has the potential to deeply impact the way you relate to others. On top of this you gain a taste of adventure, missions, personal growth, lectures and a special time to connect with God on your own.
Students are also provided with a personal “one-on-one” to check in on them and pray with them as the course progresses. You will be taught by trusted speakers from various backgrounds and denominations and have a great chance to interact with them. Topics range all the way from the life and work of Jesus to evangelism and worldviews. The goal isn’t just to learn, but getting to know by experiencing as much as possible! Welcome to the DTS!
